1 a.m. to 5 p.m. Blood drive at Big Sky Resort
According to the Red Cross, more than 13,000 blood donations a day are needed to meet October patient needs. Every two seconds, someone needs blood, and one donation can aid up to three people. However, less than 38 percent of the population is eligible to give blood or platelets—reasons range from age and weight limits to low iron counts and recent travel out of the U.S. To make an appointment, see MJ in the Human Resource Office at Big Sky Resort, or call 1-800-RED-CROSS or visit redcrossblood.org and enter Sponsor Code: BIGSKYRESORT.
7 p.m. Senior Night! Friday night football under the donated, diesel-powered lights at Lone Peak High School.
Ophir Middle School game vs. Absarokee starts at 4 p.m. Come out and shout loudly for LPHS seniors Cole March and Kegan Babick. Also—ATTENTION PARENTS AND BIG HORN FANS. Please see Athletic Director John Hannahs about volunteering in all kinds of ways to make sure school activities have enough support. FYI: Ophir boy’s basketball starts Oct. 22.
