A deputy could not locate a black GMC Yukon that was reportedly moving slowly, swerving and braking randomly on Lone Mountain Trail at around 10 a.m.

A skier was apologetic after accidentally dialing 911 from his pocket just before 1 p.m.

The driver of a Nissan Armada was unsure of their exact location but called deputies to report that they’d run into a snowbank and needed assistance getting out at around 9:20 a.m. They were able to drive away after some digging out.

Someone at the Yellowstone Club accidentally called 911 from their Apple Watch at 9 a.m. The SOS feature was then disabled so this issue would not reoccur. Similar issues via iPhones occurred at Big Sky Resort throughout the day.

A Skywood Road homeowner confirmed with deputies at 8:15 a.m. that a burglar alarm was set off by their property manager, not a burglar. A number of other false burglar alarms sounded in Big Sky throughout the day.

A deputy met with a woman on Aspen Leaf Drive just after midnight on Dec. 12. The woman wished to report that she had been punched in the face and pushed down by another woman. However, she did not have any marks or redness on her face, and two witnesses stated that she had not been knocked down.

Cheers to correcting record

After stopping and warning a driver on Gallatin Road for making a questionable pass near Portal Creek, a deputy went back to the scene and determined the man had actually made a legal pass. The deputy called him back and apologized for pulling him over.
