Hunter Strauss is a well-liked student with his eighth-grade classmates. He has shown major growth in becoming an effective and positive leader among his peers. His teacher relays he has been taking creative risk and makes learning look effortless. Hunter continues to shine by developing characteristics seldom seen in his peers.

This week's Miner of the Week is fifth-grade student Scarlet Rosheim. Scarlet is not only a dedicated student in the classroom, but she has also been spreading her wings on the basketball court. "She is very sweet and works really hard to learn the game," said one of her coaches. "Scarlet is very diligent and exhibits all of the learner profile

This week's Miner of the week is fourth grader Townes Laxson. "I am recognizing Townes as being a principled fourth grader this month. As I've gotten to know him, from the beginning of the year, I see that Townes takes responsibility for his own actions. He is not only kind, fair, and honest with his classmates, but with me too.

This week we would like to recognize four fifth grade students who, on their own, organized a drive to support families who were affected by the California fires. Dylan Manka, Maddy Wilcynski, Piper Carrico, and Poppy Towle showed empathy and compassion for those families who lost their homes in the devasting fires last fall.

This week's Miner of the Week is kindergartner Norma Troxler. "Norma is a very caring student who is always willing to help her friends or classmates. She is a cheerful, kind, compassionate and loving student. She is a role model for all students and an enthusiastic learner," said her teacher Ms.

This week's Miner of the Week is kindergartner Grady Chapin. Grady is a hard-working student who shows up every day ready to do his best. "He is always excited to learn and perseveres even when things are challenging. He arrives every morning with a smile on his face and always says good morning.
