Big Sky kids join forces to create culture of kindness
Recognize anyone? Big Sky School District students and faculty converged in the Bough Dolan Athletic Center on Monday morning to kick off their second annual Great Kindness Challenge, a week-long national event that motivates kids and their community alike to take time out just to be nice.
Last year, more than 15,000 schools in 90 countries logged more than 500 million acts of kindness. Big Sky kids from kindergarten to 12th grade joined forces to create a giant heart symbolizing how the little things we do add up to a greater, bigger picture. Monday was Hawaiian-themed dress up day, hence the colorful garb seen throughout the heart. The rest of the week will highlight other fun themes, from superhero day to hippie day and more.
