Big Sky Bridge Deck update

Construction crews off road by noon July 2

The Big Sky Bridge Deck construction project continues next week. Dick Anderson Construction crews will be off the road by noon on Thursday, July 2 to provide more space and time for travelers during the Fourth of July weekend.

On the Little Coyote Road bridge, crews are finishing up the removal of the deck on one side of the bridge. Next week, the reconstruction process begins, which involves building the new bridge deck.

At the intersection between US 191 and MT 64, crews are paving the ends of the bridge to ensure a smooth transition from bridge to road at both sides. Work on one side of the bridge deck is expected to be finished July 2 and construction switched to the other side after the holiday weekend, resulting in traffic moved to the other lane.

Drivers are asked to avoid blocking business entrances while waiting in line. Loads wider than 11 feet must find an alternate route.
