Give a drip
The Lone Peak High School Student Council urges those who are able to come donate blood on Tuesday, Feb. 6.
The school has been hosting a drive for at least the last four years, said LPHS Student Body President Liam Germain, adding, “I believe it is important to donate blood because it is an easy way for community members to provide help to those in need. I don’t think people realize how much extra blood is needed around the world and I think that donating blood is an easy way to help combat this problem.”
In addition to setting up the drive, members of the LPHS Student Council are also actively recruiting donors.
“We try to get most of the junior and senior students to donate, as well as many of the school staff members,” said Germain.
The blood drive runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 45465 Gallatin Road. Donors are encouraged to register at redcrossblood.org, using code word: BIGSKYSCHOOL.
