Project on track

US 191 bridge expected to finish beginning of Oct.

The Big Sky Bridge Decks project continues next week.

On the bridge by Little Coyote Road, crews are finishing the barrier rail. Workers will reconstruct bridge ends to ensure a smooth transition from the road to the bridge. Paving of the bridge ends is anticipated the week of Oct. 5.

On the US 191 bridge, the deck is completing the curing process. Later next week, crews will pave the bridge ends to ensure a smooth transition. Without delays, the bridge is anticipated to open for two-way traffic the week of Oct. 5.

Work days have transitioned to Monday through Thursday, work happening on Friday as needed. The project is on schedule to finish on time and this change does not affect this schedule.

Drivers are reminded to drive slow through construction areas and loads wider than 11 feet must find an alternate route.
