Third bridge construction to begin mid-August

The Big Sky Bridge Deck project continues next week.

The bridge by Little Coyote Road is curing. The construction crew is installing new barrier rails on the sides of the bridge and are working on the bridge ends to provide a smooth transition from bridge to road.

On the bridge by the intersection of MT 64 and US 191, concrete is being poured on the westbound bridge deck. Work on the bridge ends is expected to occur the first week of August.

Construction on the US 191 bridge two miles north of Big Sky is expected to begin mid-August, after the bridge at the intersection of MT 64 and US 191 returns to two-way traffic. The entire project is on track to finish in the fall.

Drivers are reminded to slow down in construction areas, leave spaces for businesses entrances and loads wider than 11 feet are advised to find an alternate route through construction.
