9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Big Sky Biggie group pre-ride
Prepare for the 50 and 30 mile races slated for Aug. 25. Meet at Beehive Basin Brewery for a loop ride back. Sub groups will be created based on pace and ability. Riders experienced with the course will be on hand to help those unfamiliar.
Noon Saturday Golf Clinics at Big Sky Resort Golf Course
This weekly hour-long course highlights bunker play. Tee times will be set aside for those who would like to play nine holes after the clinic. Discounts available for clinic participants. $20 per class or $175 for the season. To sign up, call the pro shop at 995-5780 or do so in person at the course.
1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tournament: Hawaiian Open at Big Sky Resort Golf Course
A taste of the tropics comes to Big Sky in this 18-hole, four-person, scramble style tournament rounded out with a pig roast for dinner. $85 per player, including meal. Register online.
6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Night two of the Big Sky Classical Music Festival: Time For Three at Town Center Stage
Time for Three, comprised of violinist Nicolas Kendall, double-bassist Ranaan Meyer and violinist Charles Yang, has been described as “America’s favorite classical garage band.” Free performance. MSU’s Summer Music Conservatory will open at 6 p.m., Time for Three goes on at 7 p.m. Food/beverage vendors available, please NO DOGS allowed into the venue.
