7 a.m. First-annual Big Sky Biggie mountain bike race begins
A 50 and 30-ish mile race throughout Big Sky. Starting in Big Sky’s Town Center and climbing into the scenic views from Lone Mountain and Buck Ridge, riders will tackle some of the area’s most exhilarating and challenging pieces of single track, double track, gravel roads and the occasional paved segment. All proceeds go to the Big Sky Community Organization. Want to watch? The 7 a.m. mass start on Aspen Leaf Drive in the Town Center, at Big Sky Resort at the ski patrol clinic and base area around 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., and at the finish between noon and 4 p.m. would be ideal.
Noon Saturday Golf Clinics at Big Sky Resort Golf Course
This weekly hour-long course highlights golf clubs and specific usage. Tee times will be set aside for those who would like to play nine holes after the clinic. Discounts available for clinic participants. $20 per class or $175 for the season. To sign up, call the pro shop at 995-5780 or do so in person at the course.
4 p.m. Big Sky Biggie Awards Ceremony at Town Center Stage Tentative start, awards will wait until last racer has crossed the line.
