Teams under quarantine

Basketball teams have faced COVID more than opponents

Lone Peak High School (LPHS) Lady Bighorns Junior Varsity basketball games have been canceled for the remainder of the season. COVID-19 has proven a headache for early season athletics. Harrison/Willow Creek and Lima games were canceled due to the team being under quarantine. The Jan. 9 match against Ennis is being rescheduled.

Boys and girls basketball teams are currently under quarantine until Saturday, Jan. 16 both teams will face Twin Bridges on Saturday when they come out of quarantine.

Thus far, the LPHS Varsity Boys Basketball team has faced only one opponent due to COVID-19 quarantine: Harrison/Willow Creek on Jan 5. “We opened the season with a tough opponent and it has given us lots of things to focus on to improve as a team,” head coach John Hannahs said. “We are looking forward to the rest of the season.”
