Two Big Horns honored

During the Manhattan Christian Invitational volleyball tournament Saturday, Sept. 29, Twin Bridges got the best of the Big Horns. The Falcons’ Ashleigh Guinnane (PICUTURED, No. 15) celebrates here with a smile following a score. She’s cheered on by Anna Kaiser (12) and Jovi Rosselott (3), while across the net (l to r) Lone Peak High School players Brooke Botha, Chloe Hammond and Solae Swenson get ready for the next serve. Botha and Swenson recovered with confidence from this minor setback against Twin, ultimately rising to earn spots on this year’s District 11 C dream team.

It’s great to see Swenson and Botha included in a list of the top six District 11 C volleyball players. Both were named alongside players from Lone Peak High School’s biggest rivals. Manhattan Christian’s Kiersten and Kellie VanKirk joined two standouts from Gardiner—Abby Dean and Kyndra Long.

All six athletes achieved “1st Team All-Conference, All-State.”
