Varsity Horns win in Belgrade

Now face rival Manhattan Christian

With homecoming just a couple days away, the LPHS volleyball team traveled to Belgrade to play the rising class AA school’s freshman and sophomore teams. Both matches went to five sets, with the JV losing and the varsity edging out a narrow win.

Next up: rival Manhattan Christian on Thurs. Sept. 20 starting at 5:30 p.m.

“The takeaway going into Manhattan was this was a great challenge for us. Because we are going to be challenged in that Manhattan game,” remarked Head Coach Missy Botha after play concluded in Belgrade. “And the girls really need to keep their head on their shoulders. Focus and persevere and fight for every single point.”—DM
