8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Non-profit board training: Developing Leadership and Stewardship at the Big Sky Medical Center

The Big Sky Chamber of Commerce hosts this event tailored to current non-profit board members. The session will highlight board culture, legal responsibility, building better meetings and more. The event is free and open to the public.

 

Noon to 1 p.m. Free community workout at Lone Peak Physical Therapy

Starting this week, join personal trainer Jeff Hendrickson on the second Thursday of every month for PEAK360—a free community workout. PEAK360 is a group workout designed for anyone who wants to learn how to improve their performance outside of the gym through increased strength, mobility and stability. Each workout will be geared to ready participants for all of the awesome seasonal activities Big Sky has to offer. 

 

This week: “Hiking on Unstable Surfaces”—It’s something we do every season of the year. This session, the focus will be on the stability and strength required to get up a hill safely and with confidence.

 

Session Two, Nov. 8: Ski Season Prep—This week’s focus will be on the mobility and strength needed to take full advantage of the slopes from day one. More info: 995-4522.

 

4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Non-profit board training: “So You Wanna Be a Board Member” at the Big Sky Medical Center

The Big Sky Chamber of Commerce hosts this event tailored to young professionals hoping to join a board of directors. This session will discuss the ins and outs of boards, qualifications of board members, setting up for success, and more. The event is free and open to the public.

 

4 p.m. Al-Anon at Big Sky Chapel

Al-Anon is for people who are worried about someone with a drinking problem.

 

4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Open House: Dino Drop-In Ribbon Cutting

Prospera Business Network and the Big Sky Chamber of Commerce host this event welcoming the community to Big Sky’s newest daycare option. Drop in Thursday evening for networking opportunities, appetizers and refreshments. Dino Drop-In is located at 123 Lone Peak Drive—enter from the parking lot.
