10 a.m Hike and Learn: Wildflower and weed identification at Ousel Falls Park
Join the Gallatin Big Sky Weed Committee experts for a hike at beautiful Ousel Falls to learn more about the native and non-native vegetation that surrounds us. Along the way, hikers will identify every plant they can, from the abundant native wildflowers to invasive species. No RSVP is necessary, just arrive a few minutes beforehand. Many of the walks are family friendly, and bringing kids is encouraged. Because these are group walks, please keep your dog on a leash. Bring water and appropriate shoes for light walking. Sunscreen and layers are recommended on sunny days.
4 p.m. to 7 p.m. A musical and tasty customer appreciation evening with food and live music!
Kenny and Colette—who are well-known locally as “Diamond”—perform all types of musical genres and also offer solo guitar and DJ services. Diamond soon will be full-time residents of Big Sky and will be available for your special event or party. Come snack and dance at Roxy’s!
4 p.m. K-5 Summer Reading Program at Ophir Library
This year's theme for the 2018 Summer Reading Program is “Libraries Rock!” This week local "rock" hounds Terry and Lance Thomas and Bo Tim will share with attendees their rock collection of arrowheads, crystals, fossils and more.
6 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. Sports: Big Sky Co-ed Softball League games at the Big Sky Community Park
6:30 p.m. Live music: Brian Stumpf at Gallatin Riverhouse Grill
Stumpy sings it all from Ween to the Little Bear Interiors TV jingle. Come on down and buy this man a drink as he will play for hours.
