Bird Friendly Gardening

The Gallatin Valley Food Bank to hold gardening workshop event

Need a new summer hobby? The Gallatin Valley Food Bank has got you covered. The food bank will be putting on a bird friendly Gardening Workshop at the Story Mill Community Park in Bozeman on Tuesday, August 12.

The workshop will focus on teaching community members how to build a bird friendly garden and yard. The event will be taught by local bird enthusiast and member of the Sacajawea Audubon Society’s, Paulette Epple.

These workshops are organized by Gallatin Valley Food Bank as part of their mission to “increase food security and disseminate information related to growing food, improving health and increasing resilience within our community”. Workshops are offered free of charge, however donations can be made to support the Learning Garden and Food Forest.

This is just one of many exciting opportunities to support the Gallatin Valley Food Bank this summer. The food bank is also continuing their summer lunch program until August 27. The lunch program provides sack lunches for in need people every week Monday through Friday at select locations.

If you are interested in the gardening workshop attending the event, or supporting the Gallatin Valley Food Bank by volunteering or donating, visit https://gallatinvalleyfoodbank. org.
