‘Art for Everyone’ kicks off Labor Day weekend in Big Sky

The Big Sky Artists Collective is hosting the fourth annual “Art for Everyone” art show September 4 - 5 at the Wilson Hotel at in Big Sky. The free event features original works by local artists Maggie Shane, Patty Bauchman, Michelle Kristula-Green, Maria Sorce, Carol Barmore, Georgia Baker, Heather Rapp, Paul Brourman, Jake Mosher, Paul Barmore and Kimberly Eggemeyer.

Open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. of Friday and Saturday of Labor Day weekend, work will be on display and available for sale at the Residence Inn by Marriott Big Sky/The Wilson Hotel at 145 Town Center Avenue. A Saturday evening Artist Reception from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., provides an opportunity to meet the artists. Copper Restaurant will operate a cash bar in the lobby during the reception.

“Art for Everyone is designed to have something for everyone in all price ranges,” explains Artists Collective President, Maggie Shane. “Whether you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind painting, a spectacular photo featuring Montana landscapes or wildlife, or a unique mosaic or sculptural piece, we’ll have it. We’re pleased we’ve been able to curate a show of such a diversity of scale and approach.”

Shane expressed appreciation to the Wilson Hotel for assistance in making this year’s show happen. “This is a great opportunity for Big Sky artists and community members to connect and for local residents and visitors to buy original pieces of art that capture the spirit of Big Sky.”

The Artists Collective is a community of artists living or working in Big Sky, who are working with the Arts Council and local business to build a more vibrant visual arts community
