On March 6, 2021, the Montana Department of the American Legion hosted the “State” level High School Constitutional Oratory contest. For the first time in the Montana Department’s history, all the competitors were female.

Four new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in Gallatin County as of June 17 – those cases are in Big Sky and in the Gallatin Valley. For these cases, a variety of transmission methods came into play: community transmission, out-of-state travel and contact to known cases, a Gallatin City-County Health Department press release explained.

In speaking with friends here in Big Sky either on the phone or keeping our distance in public, some of the discussions revolved around how protected are we in this small rural community if one of us were to be diagnosed with the COVID-19 virus.
