Lady Bighorns advance in Divisional tournament after 3rd place finish in Districts

Lone Peak Lady Bighorns earned a 3rd place trophy in the 12C District Conference just after coming out of quarantine.

The early defeat of Harrison/ Willow Creek in the tournament meant a place in the Divisionals as one of the advancing top four teams. The girls narrowly missed the District Championship after a five game contest with Gardiner.

“Then, in their third game in three days took Shields Valley to five games in the consolation match, and this time emerged victorious and brought home a third place trophy for LPHS,” Lone Peak High School Athletic Director John Hannahs wrote in the activities report.

The Lady Bighorns made it past the first round of the Divisional Tournament after defeating Seeley Swan in a five game battle to win the match. They head to Hot Springs Nov. 5.
